Who is Involved
The following agencies are represented on the group:
- North Yorkshire Police
- City of York Council – City Strategy, Trading Standards, Parking Services and Neighbourhood Services
- York Community Watch
- University of York
- Motor Traders Fair trading Scheme
- York Association for Care and Resettlement of Offenders (YACRO)
All SYP Task Groups are allocated an annual capital and revenue budget from the Safer Stronger Communities Fund (SSCF) with which to fund crime reduction initiatives and projects. The range and scope of the auto-crime scheme are wide-ranging with some details about some key schemes included here.
