Head of Community Safety
Heads up a team of City of York Council and North Yorkshire Police Community Safety staff. Strategic lead for Community Safety in York and overall budget holder for Community Safety funding. Responsible for publicity, marketing and liaising with the media on issues of community safety.

City of York Council Community Safety Team

Crime Reduction Manager
Co-ordinates the contribution of partners to reduce crime and disorder and deliver the Community Safety Strategy for York. Develops innovative solutions to crime and disorder problems and ensures that good practice initiatives are implemented in the city.

Neighbourhood Safety Manager
Heads up the Council Tenancy Enforcement Team and Mediation Service
Senior Data & Information Analyst
Uses multi-agency crime and disorder data to identify priorities, “hot spot” locations and emerging patterns and enable the partnership to direct resources effectively to resolve problems.
Business Support Officer
Provides secretarial support to the Safer York Partnership Board. Manages the day to day finances of the partnership and oversees the implementation of projects funded by the partnership.

North Yorkshire Police Community Safety Team

Community Safety Sergeant for York and Selby
 
Leads on Neighbourhood Watch, Architectural Liaison Officers, Special Constabulary and Business Crime Reduction PCSOs. This role also encompasses working on initiatives aligned to delivery of the Community Safety Strategy for York.

Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator
Co-ordinates the contribution of a range of partners to tackling anti-social behaviour in York ensuring that the partnership utilises the range of tools and legislation available to resolve problems within communities.

Domestic Violence Co-ordinator
Takes the strategic lead for delivery of a range of initiatives to tackle domestic violence and reduce repeat victimisation. Chairs Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conferences and ensures that all partners are working closely to reduce domestic violence in the city.

Architectural Liaison Officer
Provides advice and guidance on Designing out Crime, liaising closely with the Local Planning Authority and developers to reduce opportunities for crime and disorder to take place.

Youth Officer
Work closely with City of York Children’s Services, Youth Services and the Youth Offending Team to support young people at risk from crime and disorder and substance misuse. Leading on early intervention work to identify those most likely to enter the criminal justice system and develop measures to support those young people and their families.
Licensing Officer
Leads on all issues to do with Police input on licensing policy in York and Selby
