Don't suffer in silence.
Find out how to help if you're a victim of a hate incident. Hate incidents can happen in a variety of ways, including:
- Offensive language or verbal abuse
- Offensive graffiti or literature
- Physical attack
- Damage to property
- Continual malicious allegations
The incident might be motivated by race, language, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender or age.
To report an Hate Crime incident or for help and advice on what to do if you find yourself in this situation, you can contact the City of York Council on: 01904551552, 8:30a.m to 5p.m, Monday to Friday
You can also report the incident to the North Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060247 (24 hours) or as always, if it requires immediate police attention please call 999
