Best Bar None

Best Bar None Awards were launched in York in 2006. The aims of the awards are to reward and promote the best run premises in York, and provide the public with a recognisable badge of quality.

By encouraging best practice in licensed venues, Best Bar None sets a national standard to which all premises aspire. Premises are assessed on a number of criteria covering public safety, crime and disorder and public nuisance.

Every Best Bar None accredited premises has been visited by two of our team of trained assessors, made up of members of the local council, police and fire service.

At a Best Bar None premises customers can be assured of a fantastic night out at a venue that makes not only their entertainment but also their safety top priorities.
