Target Hardening & Home Safety Loan

Home Safety Loan

This scheme has been developed in partnership with City of York Council Housing and Adult Services and York Community Watch.

Under the scheme vulnerable owner occupiers in receipt of benefits are eligible to apply for a loan (up to the value of £4000) from the City of York Council towards target hardening measures.

The loan is repayable upon sale of their property.

All applicants receive a visit from a qualified Crime Prevention Officer, who will advise on the most appropriate target hardening measures.


Target Hardening Scheme for City of York Council Tenants

This scheme has been developed in partnership with City of York Council Housing and Adult Services and York Community Watch.

Under the scheme all City of York Council tenants, who have been victims of burglary, are eligible to apply for funding towards target hardening measures, including; burglar alarms, PIR lights, door views, window, door and shed locks.
Again, all applicants receive a visit from a qualified Crime Prevention Officer, who will advise on most appropriate measures.
