Community Safety Plan 2011-14

The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 as amended by the Police and Justice Act 2006 requires each Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership to produce a three year Community Safety Plan outlining the partnership's strategic priorities, objectives and targets. Each year, the partnership undertakes a Joint Strategic Intelligence Assessment to review past performance, identify initiatives that have been successful and analyse partner data to produce a refresh of the plan.

The Plan also provides the delivery framework for the Safer & Stronger Communities element of the Local Area Agreement and is used by the Partnership Board to monitor and measure performance.

Partnership priorities identified within the plan become the focus for the Tactical Delivery Group and funding is aligned to support delivery of initiatives that support these priorities.

By the summer, the Safer York Partnership will release our 2011-14 Community Safety Plan. It will be our fifth plan, and will set out our aims and objectives for York over the next three years, what we will deliver, the resources available and how our performance will be measured. The plan will be reviewed annually with opportunities for wider consultation as we actively encourage involvement and participation in our common aim to make York a safer place.
