Safer York Partnership: Partners

Partner membership of SYP is necessarily flexible and broad as crime and disorder touches all aspects of our lives to a greater or lesser degree. In this context there are no boundaries or limits to "membership" and involvement from many diverse groups is encouraged. In practical terms, close working with transient partners may be sustained for a finite period until a particular situation or issue has been satisfactorily resolved.

"Statutory" partners are stipulated by the Home Office and include senior representatives from:

• North Yorkshire Police
• City of York Council
• North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service
• Selby and York Primary Care Trust
• North Yorkshire Probation Service
• North Yorkshire Police Authority
